Analysis of three magazine advertisements that relate to my genre

The three magazine advertisements that I found were displayed on the covers of NME, SPIN and RWD. Each advertisement relates to my genre since the artists on two of the covers (NME and SPIN) both create dubstep music or music that's closely linked to dubstep. In addition, it is clear that the main focus is on dubstep because the names mentioned on each cover are the names of artists who also create dubstep music e.g. Artwork, Benga, Skream, Tiesto, Deadmau5 etc.

Moreover, the magazine advertisement on the cover of RWD relates to my audience as it is both bright, vibrant and colourful, and its central image is of young people which instantly allows the young reader to relate.

To add to this, the use of the abbreviation (RWD) instead of the acctual word 'rewind' also gives the magazine a young feel which would definately appeal to a younger target audience.

Lastly, the designs as well as the colour scheme would certainly attract a younger crowd because with the use of multiple colours (orange, yellow, pink, purple, blue, green) it appears as though there is lots going on and the cover looks very busy. The creative designs in the foreground of the cover make the cover look interesting and attractive, this is a good insentive to get a younger audience to purchase the magazine.
