Analysis of digipaks that relate to my genre

All the above digipaks relate to my genre because, they either fall into the category of dubstep or are very closely related to it since the music on each album sounds very much like dubstep. In addition, the colour schemes on each of the above digipaks, are very edgy (similar to the dubstep style of music) or in keeping with the dubstep genre, for example, there are lots of dark sounds incorporated into dubstep tracks which is well reflected in the 'Magnetic Man' digipak cover.

Furthermore, some of the above digipaks look very stylised and futuristic e.g. Nero, Katy B and Magnetic Man covers, this is shown through vibrant colours and sharp futuristic fonts. This relates to the dubstep genre because this style of music has lots of sharp, intense, futuristic sounds and listening to it evokes lots of colourful, bright and vivid images in the mind of the listener.

The way these digipaks have been designed also relates to my young audience because they are all visually attractive, interesting or eye-catching which is very suggestive towards a younger audience. In addition, the images on the digipaks speak to my audience because the design/image on them are all things that are relatable, for example, the picture of the council estates on the '100% pure dubstep album' or the licky face on the cover of the 'Modestep album' - these are all common symbols that many young people can familiarise with as they are things we tend to see in everyday life i.e. the council estates, we see when we walk down the street and the licky face we would see online when we're messaging our friends - this is why these digipak covers relate to my audience.
