Example-Shot yourself in the foot again
As seen in previous posts we have thoroughly thought about this song. As soon as we heard it we fell in love with the beat and the concept of the video. We therefore decided that this was our chosen song choice for our music video coursework. Reason being is because nobody in previous years had chosen a dubstep genre. Dubstrep is very current and appeals to a lot of different people so we thought this would be an exciting chance to illustrate an upbeat song. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in south London, England. Its overall sound has been described as "tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals".
There is a constant repetition of rapid fast beats within the song and through the original music video. We noticed LOTS of jump cuts and shots throughout the video and realised that this was the opportunity to show off the great editing skills that we learnt in our AS course. However because of the fast beats we have to film a lot of footage in order to make it as good as possible.
