Planning: Examine the website for the original artist

I recently checked up on Examples official website to find out a bit more about him and how its used to promote his music, image and songs.

 This is a banner at the very top of the website. Promoting his upcoming Gigs across London for 2012. This is informative and allows his fans to book tickets and his tour dates as well as locations.This instantly draws attention to the rest of the website and is therefor promoting his performances and music.

This is a screen shot of his latest song being promoted. It says 'this is my next single after 'Natural Disaster', 'Midnight run'- produced by Feed Me. Out on 4th December.This already shows that sometimes the artist personal website can show previews of songs and the opportunity to pre-order or pre-download them. It gives fans a chance to be a step ahead and enjoy the music of their favorite artists/bands before songs are released globally.

 Information on Gigs, with location, times, address and contact details of those who organise the venues or events. Its much more informative especially for fans if they have to find out more information on directions.

This promotes the videos of Example, giving insight into unseen footage for examples, interviews, award ceremony's or official music videos that are not on Youtube.

I've just noticed the website is actually in the format of a blog, this meets the conventions of his audience much more because he appeals to a younger group of people. Blogs are commonly associated with young people, fun and informality. 

Advertised here is a screen shot uploaded on to Examples website. He is showing views that he was a trending topic on Twitter recently. Twitter is a very famous well known social networking site that does help with promotion because millions of people use it everyday. As a trending topic lots of people are talking about his music, style and promoting tour dates, locations of gigs and latest gossip.
