Planning for music video; Examine the music video


Example- Website analysis 

Example's website promotes his music and also promotes his music and gigs. The website is a effective way to broadcast himself as an artist worldwide just by a click of a finger.

The first thing you see when you open the site is a list of tour dates and numbers to call (as seen in the image below). The promotion for his tour is a background for each page,by doing this Example's fans can be reminded of his tours. The advertisement is current for 2012, this becomes a benifits for his fans to buy the tickets before they are sold out. The special guest is also displayed, this invites a wider audience (fans of special guest), this is very effective promoting. 

The navigation shows links to different pages on the website, these all promote different elements of his music. 
The link 'Gigs' offers the fans a chance to get more information about the Gigs. Across the right of the page a use of promotion of songs out on itunes, the fan pages on other social networking sites. Social networking sites benefit and increase the promoting to a wider audience.

Another form of promotion is competition related to album/single releases. This allows a form of exposure and a chance for fans to get their hands on merchandise. Again below this there is an option to post this on different social networking sites to promote the competition. 
Example also uses the website to post his videos. These promote his image and also promote his songs. The visual elements of the music videos showcase his band image, it also shows the genre of his music. 


And finally there is a link to Example's web store, this sells merchandise.
