Comparison with original video and our version

Here is the original video that my group and I looked at and used to base our own music video on:

Within this video, we see a variety of camera shots including; a medium shot (0.00-0.03) to establish the main character of the video, an extreme close-up shot at 1.10 to show a text between the main character and his girlfriend in order to show how things are going wrong and also at 3.17 we see a long shot of the main character once again showing him returning home after a night out - this shot is also done in slow motion which is a technique that my group and I chose to incorporate into our own music video - we use this technique at the start of the video to allow the audience to establish who our main character is and to also portray a sad mood.
However, there are many aspects of our video that will differ from the original, some of these differences are; we use a slow motion tracking shot at the start of our video which allows the audience to see our main setting, in addition, within our video we include various shots of the main artist lip syncing to the base track, whereas within the original version we do not see this, instead, the story is told to us through actions of all the characters, similar to that of an actual film.
