I think this video is the best example of the music video form because of the way everything is put together. The video have a illustive narrative, where the lyrics tell the story in the song.
The video uses Goodwin's theory of trodov where as by the video follows the form of:
- Normality - 2 central characters; Lovers or Hero/villain
- Problem- so there is disruption to normality
- Quest to overcome disruption
- Return to a changed Normality
They also have a break from the music video to place acting inbetween this helps keep the viewers informed of the storyline incase they because lost.
The main actor is represented as someone who will rebel to protect her boyfriend/partner. She has red hair which connotes her dangerous side, which is also shown in the video as she survives i nprison against one of the prison bullies.
The video also ticks the boxes from our lesson discussion about what makes a good music video...
