Reflecting back on the AS year: Digipak cover with strengths and weaknesses

This is my digipak that i had created on Photoshop in June 2011. This was a task that was creative as well as experimental as i had never used the Photoshop program before. It was interesting to see how i would manage to put together a digipak that was eye catching as well as professionally realistic. My chosen song for the project was R.E.S.P.E.C.T this was a great song choice because it was fun, fresh and allowed us to shoot a good first practice for a music video. (As we practiced lip sync tutorial). The cover of my digipak has an image of the artist's and the title of the group in capital letters at the top. This is in bold green lettering to make it stand out and noticeable. The name of the song is on the bottom center in a much smaller font. This follows the typical conventions of a front cover.
The back of the digipak is where you locate the names of the songs on the album, barcode, sponsers or record label information. This is to be informative and illustrate what a digipak usually looks like. The name of the band is also situated at the back and can be seen as a logo format which carries on throughout the rest of the digipak.
The inside is where you find the CD with the logo printed on the rim as well as the album name. This follows the typical conventions and labels the cd accordingly.
I used the initial background of the front image as a continuous theme throughout

This is an advertisement that i created alongside the digipak which illustrates a much larger image and name of the band. Extra added details that would be found are tour dates as well as the venues. The release date for the album and the record label names, logo and website.
